I knew it would be this Pop/Rock shit even before I pressed play but I was trying to be hopefully. Em’s needs to do something new. Seems stuck in the Recovery formula. How is the “best rapper” getting the worst production?

    1. Because he’s making his own beats lol

This beat was made by Khalil.

MMLP2 didnt sound like recovery. This and phenomenal are for Southpaw, so they are going to have a theme/certain sound. With that being said, it’s a cool track to work out to, but not a classic Em track.

Yes it did.. Angry punch line flows. Shouting.. But its cool drug use and eyars of touring prolly wrecked his vocal chords so he cant be like he was back in the day(every song. not just some.. every one even if what he said wasnt dopet he way he flowed was so smooth it was still a unique rap) now his raps are still unique because he has some good lyrics he is just an upgraded lil wayne and the both of them are just out of their element.

The pop rock angle makes more sense for Em in 2015, try to look at it from the artist’s perspective.

Yo lyrically Em is still on point. i do agree tho, the flow needs to change because it makes everything sound like Recovery. as for the production i’m shocked it sounds so bad because Dj Khalil and his team are responsible for the instrumentation, and usually they always comes thru with some next level shit.

I thought the song was amazing. He replied to each and every one who commented negatively on this post. Lol

And to those that said he makes his beats (hinting that this was made bu Em) Khalil is the one who produced this track.

Who the fuck is pickin Slim’s beats or what the fuck happened to his ear for music? All this pop rock shit since ‘Recovery’ has got to stop. I can understand if he matures lyrically as an artist, I mean shit-he’s in his 40’s but his actual ‘music/beat’ selection is terrible.’Relapse’ was his last great album. I’m sure I’m missin out on a lot of dope shit he’s sayin but I cant get past the corny music.
