Good topics. Great for the genre. Cole and Cozz would be top tier anywhere they go. Bas and Omen don’t have star appeal. At all.

The rapper said Tuesday his flashy gaudy lifestyle is all a mirage of rented luxury cars and borrowed bling during testimony about his wealth in Manhattan Supreme Court Tuesday.

The rapper – whose real name is Curtis Jackson — was ordered to appear in front of the jury that is deciding how much he has to pony up in punitive damages for posting the private sex tape of his rap rival’s ex online.

The “Get Rich or Die Tryin’” star claimed he never owned the Lamborghinis, Bentleys and Rolls Royces.

“Those cars were rented,” Jackson, 40, told the court Tuesday.

All his bling was borrowed from the jeweler, Jackson testified Tuesday.

“The hip-hop culture is aspirational,” he said.

“It’s like music videos … you see all these fancy cars but everything goes back to the dealership,” he added.

Jackson, 40, said that he even recycles his three gold chains, taking them back to the jeweler who fashions a new necklace. He also sports a simple, Casio watch, he told the jury.

He told the court he only made 10 cents for each of his 38 million albums – a total of $3.8 million.

A civil court jury ordered Jackson to pay $5 million to the woman, Lastonia Leviston, who has a daughter with Fitty’s foe Rick Ross, earlier this month. The sex tape was of Leviston and her boyfriend Maurice Murray.

Now in a second trial the same jurors are deciding what amount of money would be an appropriate punishment to Jackson as well as a deterrent to prevent him from doing a similar thing again.

Jackson, who filed for personal bankruptcy last week in Connecticut, is claiming that he’s worth no more than $4.4 million – even though Forbes pegs his net worth at closer to $155 million.

But Jackson was forced to admit that he gets paid top dollar for his performances.

He was paid $100,000 for one day of filming the movie “Spy,” and $200,000 for a concert appearance in London last weekend, Jackson said.

He also confirmed that his 17-acre Connecticut estate has a basketball court and a nightclub — though he couldn’t remember the zip code for his own pad.

In court, Jackson tried to sweeten the jury of four women and two men by flashing big smiles.

“You gotta smile when you’re in a public situation. If you’re crying they’re just having more fun with you,” he said.

He also apologized to Leviston for calling her a “motherf–king porn star” on the video.

“I’m sorry if you feel like I hurt you,” he said looking directly at Leviston, who was seated in the audience.

Jackson’s lawyer, James Renard, told the jury in opening that his client’s bank account is approaching zero because of unpaid debts.

“That’s the current financial condition and we believe that’s very important with respect to the assessment of any damages,” Renard said.

Jackson said his dwindling finances have affected his image.

“Now that I’ve filed for bankruptcy … I’m not as cool as I was last week,” he told the jury.

  4. I saw all these dudes perform Live in Dallas. Omen came out spitting some hot fire, conscious shit when he first got on stage; kind of a surprise because I’ve never liked any of his work. They gave a good performance, especially Cody Mac.

  11. THE REAL mac DIESEL says:

    COOL JOINT!!!!

    DON’T HATE ON MY OPINION!!!!

  12. Iamstillmusic says:

    J. Cole is in the first tier of new school rappers but still doesn’t have an album that really wows me. He came into the game competing with Drake and K. Dot took his spot and he’s unbothered. He’s complacent and happy to be here. J. Cole fans want a classic 4th album.

  13. Sina Mailer Daemon Djavadkhani says:

Wow that’s smooth! A nice continuation of the Forest Hills Drive sound.
