Birdman really thinks he is entirely responsible for all those records sold that he bragging about at the end? I mean ok you created the platform that is Cash Money with Slim but Wayne built that house to what it is now. Birdman is delusional.
The platform is the most important thing. You can build a house but with a bad foundation its gonna fall.
Have to give birdman credit, his empire spans several decades and put many people on. Wayne did carry it, but building a solid platform and making sure its strong is the hardest part. How many labels failed while Cash Money was doing its thing? Too many to count.
I have respect for the platform but I’m not even sure Birdman should get the credit. He is the face but Slim handling business for real for real but because he doesn’t speak much we tend to overlook that.
The fact that Birdman wanted to become a rapper himself gives me the impression, he likely isn’t the brains in the operation but I’ll give props where props are due. I just don’t like how they are dealing with Wayne because yes, Cash Money has been successful but damn if it’s anybody they could’ve dealt with all the way right it’s Wayne.
What Wayne did himself but then Drake and Nicki, regardless of who found who and brought who to who, without Wayne going hard YMCMB era would’ve never even happened.

Birdman became a rapper because it was convenient like Puff and Master P but him and Slim were both smart. Their the only independent label to be successful on all levels locally, regionally, nationally and worldwide plus they lasted 20+ longer than any label from that era! They had success before Wayne became a factor. Hate or love it gives Birdman his respeck lol!
Hey fam I hear all that. As I said, they would never be as successful as they are right now if Wayne never went hard. I think they need to respek his name more.
