Hov made a great album. All the videos been dope. Seems like Hov always struggled with being conscious and being a capitalist. It’s hard for people to take you serious when you seem to always take the money, but at least he is trying.
ALL his albums have been “conscious”. He don’t have an album where he sounds like a mindless idiot (unconscious). All Jay has wanted since he came in the game was to get paid for his work. That’s the way it’s supposed to be. Would you clock into work for free? Of course not. He wants what he’s earned so instead of working for other people he decided to invest in himself and be his own boss.

My question is music video a commercial product? I thought the very essence of Music video is to market a song or songs?. I can understand a song has to yield profit, but music video?
It depends on the creator. If they consider it a product that should be sold, instead of just an advertisement for something else (song/album) then yeah.. that video is a commercial product.
