JAY-Z & Kendrick Lamar Lead Grammy Nods

Hip Hop is taking over the 60th annual Grammy awards. For this year, JAY-Z and Kendrick Lamar pull in the most nominations and are going head-to-toe in their genres as well as the ceremony’s top categories.

Hov who leads the pack with seven is up for Album of the Year (4:44), Song of the Year (“4:44”), Record of the Year (“The Story Of OJ”), Rap/Sung Collaboration “Family Feud” among others. Meanwhile, Kung Fu Kenny counters with six nominations that also includes Album Of The Year (DAMN.), Record of the Year (“HUMBLE.”), Rap/Sung Collaboration “LOYALTY.” and more.

Childish Gambino who comes in with five nods is also up for Album of the Year (Awaken, My Love!) and Record of the Year (“Redbone”). Also with five nominations are first-time Grammy nominees Khalid and SZA. Music’s big night goes down at Madison Square Garden in New York City on January 28.     How you not gonna mention Rapsody In the post Big Homie? Shout out Rap for making arguably the best album this year. Chainz got robbed smh he may have spread his singles out to far apart but I could argue he at least should have been nominated for one of his singles. Overall the Grammys did a good job with the rap categories. Congratulations to everyone nominated
