Kanye West ‘Ye’ Tops The Charts

Yikes!

Yeezy’s back on top. This week, Kanye West celebrates his birthday at the number one spot on the Billboard 200 charts with his 8th studio album, Ye. As the second drop of this summer’s G.O.O.D. Music releases, the 7-track project moved 208,00 units in first week sales, making it a total of 8 number one debuts.

Excluding his debut album, College Dropout, all of West’s albums have debut at number one, including his joint album with JAY-Z, Watch The Throne. Kanye now ties Eminem and The Beatles with the longest streak of 8 consecutive number one debuts. Congrats!

8th Solo no.1? I thought College DropOut debut at no.2 behind Norah Jones.

Not “solo”, just 8th. Watch The Throne included.

“…his 8th studio album, Ye”. If they were speaking of studio albums in general then Ye would have been no. 9 and ‘Pablo would be no. 8. They got there facts wrong thats all it was.
