Jay-Z Begins Lecture Series At Columbia U.

Jay-Z kicked off his “JAY-Z’ Carter Lecture Series” last night (February 4) at New York City’s Columbia University.

Hosted by Jay-Z and journalist professor Jelani Cobb, educational course is launched by the Ivy League’s African American and African Diaspora Studies (AAADS) Department and was held at the Forum on the Manhattanville campus.

During their lengthy conversation, they discussed African American culture as well as Jay’s legacy in music, business and philanthropy, and more. Jay also recalled his last conversation with Kobe Bryant and elaborated on why he did not stand during the National Anthem during this past Sunday’s Super Bowl LIV. Sorry.
