Juice WRLD ‘Legends Never Die’ Tops Billboard Charts
Juice rules the WRLD
Juice WRLD has just earned his second chart-topper as his posthumous album Legends Never Die debuts at No. 1 of the Billboard 200.
Last year, the Chicago rapper scored his first No. 1 with A Deathrace For Love.
Legends Never Die now has the largest release week of 2020 of any album, which was previously held by The Weeknd’s After Hours. In addition, it is also the biggest week for a hip-hop album or by a male artist in nearly two years since Travis Scott’s Astroworld
During its opening week, the album tallied 497,000 in equivalent album units with 209,000 of the sum in traditional album sales.
On the streaming side of things, it has also has the biggest streaming week of the year and the fourth of any album ever in history. The 21 tracks featured clocked in a total of 422.63 in on-demand streams.
Legends Never Die is also the most successful posthumous debut in over two decades since The Notorious B.I.G.’s Life After Death and 2pac’s R U Still Down both in 1997. Congrats.
Too bad he’s not here to enjoy it.
