Guess who’s back.

Rowdy Rebel has just been released from prison after serving nearly four years in a state federal prison.

Complex reports the 29-year-old New York rapper and affiliate of Bobby Shmurda’s GS9 crew was released from the Collins Correctional Facility on Tuesday (Dec. 15) following an interview with the Board of Parole on August 11, 2020. He will serve the remainder of his sentence under community supervision.

In 2014, Rowdy, Shmurda and members of GS9 were arrested with racketeering that included conspiracy, murder, drugs, and weapons possession. In 2016, Bobby and Rowdy were sentenced to seven years and received credit for two years, but were both eligible for release this year in exchange for their plea deal. Bobby was denied parole in September 2020 following 10 violations during his incarceration. Shmurda is now serving his maximum seven-year sentence and is expected to be released December 11, 2021.
