Playboi Carti ‘Whole Lotta Red’ Tops Billboard Charts

Playboi Carti’s kicking off his 2021 at the top of the Billboard charts.

This week, the Atlanta rapper scored his first No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 with his latest LP, Whole Lotta Red.

Released on Christmas Day, the sophomore set opened at 100,000 equivalent album units with 10,000 of the sum in traditional album sales. The 24 tracks, which includes collaborations from KiD CuDi, Kanye West and Future, also earned 90,000 SEA units, equating to 126.43 million on-demand streams of the album’s songs.

This marks Playboi Carti’s third charting project overall. In 2018, his debut album Die Lit debuted at No. 2, while his self-titled mixtape, Playboi Carti reached No. 12 in 2017. Congrats, Playboi.
