Rihanna Marches In Stop Asian Hate Rally

Amid the alarming incline of hate crimes against the Asian community during the pandemic, Rihanna is showing her support against anti-Asian violence.
On Sunday (April 4), the singer and business mogul participated in the Stop Asian Hate rally in New York City. Dressed in all-black leather, hat, sunglasses, and mask, an unrecognizable RiRi blended in with her fellow marchers and danced while holding up a sign that read “#StopAsianHate” and “Hate = Racism Against God!”.
Her assistant, Tina Truong, shared photos and footage from their match with the caption “This is what solidarity looks like! #stopaapihate #stopasianhat #callitahatecrime”. Tina also shared a clip of Ri giving male participant her Instagram handle before he finally realized who the masked-star was.
Following last month’s Atlanta shooting that left eight people dead, six of whom were Asian descent, Rihanna reacted to the tragic incident. “What happened yesterday in Atlanta was brutal, tragic & is certainly not an isolated incident by any means”, she tweeted. “AAPI hate has been rampantly perpetuated & it’s disgusting! I’m heartbroken for the Asian community & my heart is with the loved ones of those we lost. The hate must stop.”
