Verzuz: SWV vs. Xscape

Ladies night.

Verzuz celebrates Mother’s Day weekend with a female R&B soundclash between SWV and Xscape.

On Saturday (May 8), Sisters With Voices’ Coko, Taj and Lelee joined the So So Def quartet Tameka “Tiny” Harris, Kandi Burruss, and sisters LaTocha and Tamika Scott on stage in Atlanta for an epic performance of their R&B tunes.

With DJ AONE and DJ Spinderella on the ones and twos, the R&B queens ran through their epic catalogue including their charting hits (“Right Here”, “Just Kickin It”), freaky jams (“Downtown”, “Do You Want To”), romantic ballads (“Rain”, “Who Can I Run To”), memorable collaborations (“Anything”, “Am I Dreaming”), the club bangers (“Can We, “Keep On Keepin’ On, “), as well as other classics including “I’m So Into You”, “My Little Secret”, “Weak”, “Understanding”, and many more.

Kandi highlighted her songwriting credits and performed her Destiny Child anthem “Bills Bills Bills” and hers and Tiny’s TLC smash “No Scrubs”. Kandi also put the spotlight on her contribution to E-40 and T-Pain’s “U & Dat”, while Coko reminded folks of her vocals on Will Smith’s hit “Men In Black”.

During the evening, Jermaine Dupri joined Xscape for their standout hit “Feels So Good”, while Da Brat was brought by the ladies for their epic remix of Mariah Carey’s “Always Be My Baby”.

SWV vs. Xscape follows Verzuz’ previous Redman vs. Method Man back on 4/20.
