Video: J.Cole “Amari”
Hold tight.
J.Cole defines his greatness in the first visual off his new album, The Off-Season. The track is dubbed after his manager Ibrahim “IB” Hamad’s son, Amari and produced by himself, Sucuki, T-Minus, and Timbaland.
Directed by Mez for Heirs, Cole returns to New York City and unleashes his fiery flow in a series of eye-catching shots. He mobs with the crew in the projects and dappers up with members of his label.
Elsewhere, Jermaine controls a Dreamville helicopter from a city skyline, sets a booth on fire, and enjoys ramen with a baddie in a dorm room full of plaques. The clip ends with a young Cole holding on to his older self from falling off a bridge. Hold on to your inner child.
Over the weekend, J.Cole made his debut in the Basketball Africa League as his Rwanda Patriots defeated the Nigeria’s River Hoopers 83-60.
