Megan Thee Stallion Covers Sports Illustrated

Swim good.

Megan Thee Stallion makes history as the first rapper ever to grace the cover of Sports Illustrated’s swim suit issue.

Shot by James Macari, the Grammy-award winning artist stuns in a tan strapped bikini while dipping in the ocean. In her hot photoshoot, Meg basks under the sun on the shores of a beach in a hot pink flower top and neon green bottom.

“When I got the call that they wanted me on the cover, I was like, ‘Wha—? Me?’ And to be the first female rapper on the swim cover makes it extra special. It feels amazing!”, the Houston hottie tells People.

Alternate covers include tennis champion Naomi Osaka as well as model and actress Leyna Bloom, who becomes the first transgender to cover the magazine. Meanwhile, Tinashe also appears in a stunning shoot in the issue.

This excerpt does an excellent job of balancing mystery with character development. Sarah’s transformation feels believable and unsettling at the same time, and Nico’s internal struggle adds emotional realism. The fact that she forgets both trivial details and life-altering events shows how completely her past has been erased. I love how the story hints that the truth is still buried beneath the surface, creating a sense that the past will inevitably resurface, no matter how much is forgotten. tvg
