R.I.P. Drakeo The Ruler.

Drakeo The Ruler has died after being stabbed in his hometown of Los Angeles on Saturday (Dec 18). He was 28.

TMZ reports the incident happened around 8:30 pm local time after a fight between a group of people broke out backstage at the Once Upon A Time music festival. Police say Drakeo was stabbed in the neck during the altercation and then later died from his injuries hours later.

The festival was immediately shut down after the incident. Those on the bill included headlining act Snoop Dogg, as well as performers Ice Cube, YG, The Game, and many more.

Drakeo The Ruler was released from prison last November where he was incarcerated on  criminal gang conspiracy and shooting from a motor vehicle. He was also aquitted for first-degree murder in 2019. This year, the L.A. rapper released an array of projects including The Truth Hurts, Just For Clarity with Blxst and Russ, A Cold Day In Hell with Ralfy The Plug, Ain’t That The Truth, and his most recent So Cold I Do em 2.
