Kanye West Previews & Releases ‘Donda 2’
Long live Donda.
Just six months after releasing Donda, Kanye West premieres the follow-up to the Grammy-nominated album with Donda 2.
Prior to the release, Kanye, who just released his Netflix documentary, Jeen-Yuhs, held a DONDA Experience Performance at LoanDepot Park in Miami on 2.22.22.
On a set with a replica of his Chicago childhood home, torched in flames and surrounded by a shallow body of water, Ye performed a few selections from the new album, as well as his previous Donda album, which debuted at No. 1, and other previous released tracks. Pusha T joined Ye for “Diet Coke“, The Game performed “Eazy“. Off the new album, Jack Harlow was brought out for “Louie Bags”, the Migos debuted “We Did It Kid”, and Soulja Boy reunited with Ye for “First Time”.
Alicia Keys opened up “City Of Gods” on the piano, before she was joined by Fivio Foreign. The show then concluded with Playboy Carti in face makeup who performed “Off The Grid”. Other guests included DaBaby and Marilyn Manson.
For the eleventh studio album, Ye has opted out the usual digital streaming services, but instead available exclusively on his Stem Player. Each device is manufactured by Yeezy Tech and Kano Computing, which runs $200 and plays four different elements of the tracks including the vocals, drums, bass, and music.
Since then, Ye is slowly uploading the tracks to the Stem Player.
