Both Mary J. Blige and Method Man came up with victories during the 53rd NAACP Image Awards. The ceremony took place at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium in California and was aired on BET on Saturday, February 26.

Mary J. Blige took the ‘Outstanding Supporting Actress In A Drama Series’ for her role in Starz’s Power Book II: Ghost, while her co-star and “All I Need” collaborator Clifford “Method Man” Smith won ‘Outstanding Supporting Actor in A Drama Series’.

Mary portrays Monet Tejada, a wife and mother trying to balance her family and incarcerated husband Lorenzo’s drug business and Method Man plays defense lawyer Davis Maclean.

During the ceremony, Mary J. Blige also took the stage for a stunning medley including the title-track of her new album, Good Morning Gorgeous followed by her timeless classic hit, “Love No Limit”.

Earlier this month, MJB performed at Super Bowl LVI alongside Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem and Kendrick Lamar. The following week, she joined DJ Khaled’s performance at the 2022 NBA All-Star with Lil Wayne, Lil Baby, Gunna, Migos, and Ludacris. Congrats!
