EP: DJ Premier ‘Hip Hop 50, Vol. 1’

Mass Appeal Records is celebrating 50 years of Hip Hop with their new EP series, Hip Hop 50: The Soundtrack, and begin the festivities with legendary producer, DJ Premier.

The first Hip Hop 50: The Soundtrack includes five new tracks, all produced by Preemo beginning with Joey Bada$$ “Lettin’ Off Steam” followed by Remy Ma and Rapsody’s “Remy Rap”, and the “Beat Breaks” by Nas. Killer Mike and El-P align as Run The Jewels for their “Terrible 2s” and Lil Wayne and Slick Rick team up for the closer, “The Root Of All”.

“It’s an honor to kick off this iconic Hip Hop 50 music program. Hip Hop continues to inspire fans across the globe and it’s incredible to think of what the next 50-years will bring” DJ Premier affirmed. 

Other producers who have been tapped for the Hip Hop 50 10 EPs include Swizz Beatz, Mustard, The-Dream, Mike Will Made It, No I.D., Hit-Boy, Take A Daytrip, and Tainy. The series

A portion of proceeds from the releases will be donated to various charitable organizations, including the Universal Hip Hop Museum, which opens in the Bronx in 2024.
