Me, that’s who!

After a few weeks off and having to cancel his European leg of his World Tour, Russ is back with his self-rewarding song, “That Was Me”.

On the introspective record, Russ revisits life’s early struggles and bouncing back on his own. He sings, “Cut off everybody, I ain’t got no time to party / Tryin’ to get these fans and build a mutherfuckin’ army / ‘Cause no one’s gon’ save us but me, so I got us / I said that I would, I gotta keep my promise.”

Ahead of its release, Russ spoke on the record. “For people who probably put too much pressure on themselves and rarely spend time reflecting or givin themselves a pat on the back, this is for you…”. He also shared a heartfelt message in an Instagram post for his fans.

“That Was Me” marks Russ’ first music since July’s “Are You Entertained” featuring Ed Sheeran.
