IDK spreads awareness to police brutality on his new single, “Mr. Police”.
Compiled with a series of came footage of traffic stops, the Maryland rapper sounds off on the officers who are responsible for his experience of aggressive interactions.
“Mr. Police, how do you do? / You say I sped right past you,” he raps while receiving his citation. “I obeyed the signs, I thought I was fine / Hope I don’t go to jail, said I read your mind / But this time it’s just a fine.” he continues as he gets cuffed faced down.
The powerful music video was premiered on MSNBC’s The Beat with Ari Melber. “Mr. Police” is the latest single off IDK’s upcoming project, F65, his first since last year’s Simple. EP produced by KAYTRANADA.
