Drake Ft. SZA “Slime You Out”

Slime time.

After keeping fans waiting all summer, Drake shakes the music industry with his latest single “Slime You Out” featuring SZA.

Co-produced by Drake, Noel Cadastre, Dalton Tennant, Noah “40” Shebib, and BNYX®, the first time collaborators partake in a battle of the sexes. Drake spoils the ladies despite their ungrateful ways.

“Ayy, this ain’t the litest, I could get on you bitches / Send wires on wires on wires, like Idris, he croons. ”You lucky that I don’t take back what was given / I could have you on payment plan ’til you’re hundred and fifty,” he continues before SZA responds venting on an unfaithful subject.

“And I ain’t even coming over it now / And you ain’t ’bout the shit you rapping about / And I can spin the ho, I’m airing it out / I’m goin’ on like it’s sawed off,” she sings.

“Slime You Out” is the follow-up to Drake’s previous “Search & Rescue“. Both songs are off Drake’s upcoming eighth studio album, For All The Dogs which is now due October 6.

I’m not sure why the Drake camp thought this was bussin’. If mid had a definition this would be it. Don’t get me wrong, the lyrics eventually get better after the SZA verse. But starting a song “you bitches really…” and arrogant chatter–my nigga, know yourself. Let’s just face it. Honestly Nevermind was actually good–Drake don’t need a make up album. But when you get inspired send us the heaters. We need the introspective Toronto man. The guy that can rap about his challenges and without making them sound like challenges. Despite this I still have faith in The Boy. But face it, this is a misstep, and you don’t have to believe me, believe the public response, shits weak. IAAB fans knowing the lyrics isn’t it–God’s Plan still is more relevant to them. I have noticed that the OVO team members haven’t been posting it on their socials uniformly. Maybe the feedback loop is a little disrupted. Is tour life too hard on the camp? Maybe mandem aint spending enough time together. Call me when those featureless heaters ready to go. Until then spare me.
