Tierra Whack welcomes everybody to the “27 Club” on her brand new single.
Directed by Alex Da Corte, the vibrant and lively visual centers the Philly rapper leaving all her worries behind while touching on her mental state and losing touch with love ones.
“I can show you how it feels / When you lose what you love,” she begins while dressed up in a whimsical get up alongside her cheerleaders and a marching band. She continues, “When the world seems like its against you / When your friends and family forget you.”
Despite the celebration, she contemplates suicide. “Like a glass full but I’m empty / Said, ‘I’m broken, can you fix me?’/ If I’m dreaming, you should pinch me / Got a gun to the head, don’t tempt me.”
“27 Club” follows her “Shower Song” and “Chanel Pit” and will all be featured on her upcoming debut album, World Wide Whack March 15.
