Producer Madlib reunites with Black Thought and Your Old Droog for his new single, “ReekYod”.

Anchored by Madlib’s haunting production, the two rappers showcase their lyrical prowess from right out the gate.

“Uh, I met a few on the last train from nowhere / The reason I reside in the fast lane is to go there,” raps Thought. “The roots crew flew to the moon and did a show there / My coat made of camel, the slacks is made of mohair.” he continues while Droog follows his lead.

“Got the world open off my aura / And all the real pros know the flow is like water / Never sold keys them guys ballers, when they tied the score up / Only time they was OT with 5 quarters.”

Madlib previously worked with Your Old Drogg on 2022’s “The Return of Sasquatch” and the most recent “DBZ” with Method Man and Denzel Curry. He previously worked with Black Thought on Freddie Gibbs’ “Education” with Yasiin Bey.

“Reekyod” is Madlib’s first release on his own new label Madlib Invazion, and first single since his Sound Ancestors album in 2021.
