At the Heineken Red Star Soul Concert in Atlanta, Big Boi along with Neil Garrad debuts a cut off Sir Luscious Left Foot. The sound is muffled, but hopefully you can catch moments of clarity. Props: X

Good grief, at this rate you’d think a record label was overseeing the burial. According to CNN, MJ’s funeral service has been changed from his birthday to September 3rd. His final resting place remains at Glendale Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
What better way to cap off the week than with another installment of Jay Rock’s month of madness. They do it for hip-hop. You do it for a check. I do it for both.

Uh-oh, looks like Kamaal’s calling on Bloomberg’s countrymen to put an end to his incumbency this November. According to Tip’s Twitter account, he gripes that the Mayor is going to “turn the city into the office for rich folk and kick out the middle class/poor folks.” When you consider the gentrification of neighborhoods in Harlem and Brooklyn, Tip isn’t completely off his rocker. Hell the price for a one bedroom in, could feed a third world country. Transportation fare’s up, and let’s not forget about that pesky smoking ban that has eskay in a hissy fit. Screw it, I’m with you Tip. Let’s get someone else to run this town. Rosenthals you down?

Outta the way Usher. Yesterday, the Black Eyed Peas broke Mr. Raymond’s record for the longest consecutive stay at the top of the Billboard charts. Eclipsing “Burn” and “Yeah!”, B.E.P.’s “Boom Boom Pow” and “I Gotta Feeling” have collectively reached number one for 20 weeks. I’m far from a fan, but that’s one helluva of an accomplishment. I’m sure [insert your favorite rappa here] would sell their soul publishing to achieve that level of success. With that said, check out footage of frontman Will.I.Am speaking on the making of the aforementioned records.

According to ESPN, Cheddar Bob Plaxico agreed to sit his dumb ass in prison for the next two years. The former NY Giants star shot himself in a N.Y. nightclub last year. After his release he will have have two years of supervision. No sympathy here. You do the crime, you do the time. Besides, everyone knows NYC’s super strict when it comes to weapons possession. Shoot, if the D.A. has their way, Ja and Wayne will be sharing a […]
