Cashing In.

In the wake of the uprisings across America, Rick Ross showed another side to his larger than life persona. This time around, Rozay touched on themes that extended to social injustice (“We Gon Make It”), leadership (Knights of Templar”) and most importantly, financial empowerment (“Foreclosure”, “Bill Gates”, “Icon”). Boss’d up.

  3. jayreeves says:

its all perspective though i thought this mixtape was jus okay. lists are jus for views/ hype

    1. BO2BROLIC says:

Lol you know dam well this was a excellent mixtape if 50 released this same mixtape with his voice adlibs and cadence replacing Ross’s you faggots would be having wet dreams about this mixtape

      1. Tomas Anthony says:

        50s Kanan Tape was fire

        1. Lyrics says:

Lmao bullshit it was…name one memorable verse off that bullshit.

          1. Winston Wolfe says:

Verse? Lol it’s 50 come on? He’s more of a hook writer imo. That Alc beat was dope though as well the “I’m the Man” record

          2. Lyrics says:

What hooks has he produced? Real question no sarcasm

          3. Winston Wolfe says:

“Hate It or Love It” or “In Da Club” or “Many Men” or “Lil Bit” or . . . You get the drift.

          4. Lyrics says:

Yea all stuff from February of 2003. Classic album, but thats 13 years ago. But to each his own.

          5. Winston Wolfe says:

What? So I guess I’ll wait 12 years from now to argue this with you? You asked and I gave you facts? And there are many more? Wasn’t aware that it had to be current? Silly question all together? This is the problem with new slave rap fans. No appreciation whatsoever for the foundation. One day this shit will be considered old and you’ll have the same convo with a young’n such as yourself and that’s when the epiphany will take place

          6. Lyrics says:

He built a great foundation, but lacked the constiency that it takes to be a good MC. He failed to help the culture move forward. This is a “what have u done for me lately industry”. Im in my 30s also, and was fully aware of his wave in 03.

Not sure what we debating but..bottom line is he failed to progress. Aint no one banging 50 in 2016.

          7. Winston Wolfe says:

I see your point. 50 was never lyrical though. But I get what you’re saying

          8. Winston Wolfe says:

It’s always “What’s next?” The internet has no patience. You can release an album and they’re off that a week later fiending for more. No appreciation! That’s why we remember 50! He had memorable records. Isn’t that the point? I mean you CAN continue to be spoon fed 8 million Young Thug and Future mixtapes until you’re blue in the face but let’s be honest all of that shit is forgettable at best! Just beats and auto-tune. No thought put into the music. Just trying to help you understand that it isn’t always about “what’s next” and to appreciate those who paved the way

          9. Lyrics says:

People remember 50 for his Internet trolling, and beefs with 50 year old actresses…..im not a future fan nor a Young Thug fan.

          10. Winston Wolfe says:

Not I. Maybe the younger gen? I remember the anticipation leading up to the release of GRoDT! Shit had people in a frenzy. And after it dropped it had every club and radio station on smash

          11. Winston Wolfe says:

Then you and I are on the same page my friend because those two idiots are what’s wrong with rap today. Times change but come on? Young Thug and Future? No way Jose

          12. Tomas Anthony says:

production was excellent it was only 7 tracks but listen to it again bruh it was nice

          13. Lyrics says:

I tried twice..he had a verse that said he sips lean..once I heard that it was over. We all no he aint sipping no lean, plus the constant trolling, being dropped from the label, filing for bankruptcy, and hating has turned me off 50. But outside of that the quality of music has just went down progressively since his last album.

We dont even need to compare him and Ross no more…they not in the same league. Haven’t been in some time.

          14. Tomas Anthony says:

i was never comparing was simply saying Kanan Tape is actually some heat from Fif and Ross been falling off HARD

          15. Tomas Anthony says:

            Ross’ last album was trashh

          16. Lyrics says:

Ross aint aint never made a bad album. His mixtapes be better than ur favorite rappers best album.

          17. Tomas Anthony says:

u need to get off Rick Ross nuts its not 2011 anymore lol and u have no clue what I listen to you goofy ass bafoon

          18. Lyrics says:

U mad……It aint 2003 no more, who the fuck listening to 50 anymore. His music is trash. He a professional blogger now.

U, 50 and Vivica Fox take this L to bed.

          19. Tomas Anthony says:

lmao i dont even like 50 like that all i was saying was check out Kanan Tape bc we havent heard anything nice from Fif since like 07-09 but u rly need to hop off Ross’ dick his gardener had a better year than Fatboy wackass lmfaoo and just the fact u defending tht fools work makes me laugh that u would actually be bumping Black Dollar or Black Market lmfao forclosures was the only decent track and he had to put it on both projects lmfao Ross been steady losing and if u learn how to read i was never comparing the two even tho 50 has had a much better career even if Ross put out better music since their beef

          20. Kai AugustAngeles Simmons says:

I don’t like to throw the word hater around, but if someone hates the Kanan Tape, they’re just a 50 hater point blank period. Even though it was only 7 tracks, it was extremely well rounded. It had that gutter grimy NY shit, some shit for the club, and some of that new shit. His flow was consistent and on point throughout the whole project, sounding current and like classic Fif at the same time.

This dude said he heard a line about sipping lean and couldn’t continue because 50 ain’t doing that. Yeah, because we all know Snoop is still pimpin hoes, 50 shot a nigga yesterday, and Jay still selling drugs.

          21. Tomas Anthony says:

            lmfao foreal tho

          22. Tomas Anthony says:

BLACK MARKET IS NOT A TOP 10 ALBUM. simple as that ha

        2. THE ALMIGHTY MIKEY ESCO!!! says:

          1. Guest says:

Hey shithead! Stay off of our comments. Nobody was talking to you!

          2. WindyCityG72 says:

there is a difference between verse and flow, 50 has some great verses in his history along with hooks, however it’s his flow that is dated in todays ears, but 50 comes from an era where you had to be who you say you are on your records….Ross does not come from that era. therefore ross gets to put whatever he wants in his verses and change his flow. its accepted these days………..this is RossRadar anyway

          3. el jim chapo guzman says:

            fuck you mikey esco fagg

    1. 50 Cent says:

Nothing real about being a correctional officer posing as one of the inmates that were under your supervision. And keep those titties covered!

  5. Tomas Anthony says:

Black Market better be left off the Top 10 albums…..

  6. Aspiring Fraud says:

For me, Roberts III is proof that you CAN do anything you put your mind to because he went from a correctional officer to a dope dealing rapper. Ruh!

    1. Harlem's Finest says:

damn you 50 fans really know how to beat a dead horse lol nigga stopped being A co in 97 for crying out loud

      1. Guest says:

But that’s ALL he raps about? Of course he’s going to get checked? Would you let some random fraud ass nigga walk around your hood claiming this type of bs without checking his ass? Be honest. Roberts III can be lyrical, but that dopeboy shit is fraudulent.

    2. Lyrics says:

People forget Ross was an All- American football player that turned down the opportunity for a scholarship for the streets. That guts that most of the haters on here know nothing about. #MMG

      1. ROOM 222 says:

lol he aint turn down shit. he was studying criminal justice but he aint have the grades to be a cop so he became a prison guard

  7. THE ALMIGHTY MIKEY ESCO!!! says:

SHOULD HAVE BEEN #1!!!! FK YO FEELINGS!!!

    1. el jim chapo guzman says:

      you stupid mikey

  8. el jim chapo guzman says:

this tape was ass get that shit outta here….

  9. Matt Axe says:

I like all of the lists so far minus this selection. Ross did NOT bring it on this mixtape. Nor did he on the album. I know B Dot likes him but Ross’ clearly on the way down.

  10. Room 222 says:

Black Dollar should’ve been number 1. It’s better than Future’s mixtape.

    1. Guest says:

Number 1? Nope! Better than Future’s entire catalog? Yep!
