Talk Of New York.

2014 was full of surprises. But nothing was more unsuspecting than the return of G-Unit. Since the groups inception, Tony Yayo has been the crew’s most vocal and diplomatic member. So before the arrival of The Beast Is G-Unit EP, The Talk Of New York chopped it up with Rap Radar at Engine Room Audio, about being the nucleus of G-Unit, allegiance, music, Queens, and everything else in between. Here we go now!

Good Interview. B Dot done a good job.

    1. Brian B.Dot™ Miller says:

      Appreciate it.

      1. DisIsDope says:

Yeah man keep em coming. Enjoyed it!

      2. ilexx says:

Yo good job B.Dot on the podcast. U guys should definitely keep the ball rollin with these podcasts. ShadyXV and the Yayo one were good.

Either keep the format of you and the artist or have a co-host which is always good but yo, keep Elliot away from the podcast though.

I know u guys think his laugh could possibly be his “thing” but its not, that laugh is the most annoying thing for any kind of interview, video, podcast, radio, whateva. I fringe all the way through CRWN interviews. I didn’t want this to come across as “hate”, more like constructive criticism, I like Elliot but that laugh damn.

Podcast is a good look so far though.

        1. Brian B.Dot™ Miller says:

Ha! duly noted. Thanks for listening lol.

          1. TheTruthHurts says:

He’s right about that laugh, Elliot does good for Hip-Hop but that laugh is too much. I actually think just you and the artist is good, if you had a Co-Host it would have to be someone that’s slightly known and obviously has to know a ton about the culture.

      3. Capuccino says:

good lookin on this interview bruh, this the type of shit we like to see. dope, S.O. Yayo

  10. brandonEP says:

finally!!! i hope to hear more interviews

  11. Giovanna Argueta says:

    Yes! Yayo needs a Podcast.!!

  12. AthrazhuR says:

Just listened to “50 bars of pleasure..” for the first time. 50 should do a song like that about the shady people in the corporate world. We know how racist, for example, Sony executives are. It would be nice to hear 50 give the dirt on how the industry works. Yes it would be biting the hand that feeds him, but that would be a revolutionary act. That song, “50 bars of pleasure..” has such graphic detail it is no wonder that people from the neighborhood were captivated by it. It must have been like a movie.

    1. dd says:

You need to listen to that whole album. Go download “guess whos back” right now, and “power of the dollar”.GO GO GO GO GO that shit is crazy

      1. hilroycahier says:

guess whos back first tho! shits fire

    2. Brian B.Dot™ Miller says:

“50 bars of pleasure..” for the first time.

    1. bcro31 says:

You got to be kidding! Never had one hit in his life, even with 50 on top, imagine now! GTFOH

        1. bcro31 says:

It’s not that serious lol. Yayo released one album and it went gold. Not bad for a hypeman.

  17. This shit was dope, Dot. Keep it podcast & not with visuals then get it on iTunes like Combat Jack & Juan Ep’. Salute to the homie Yayo. Real nigga. QUEEN$.

If you don’t agree you can chew a dick.

    1. And I can check if u lie says:

I live in Cincinnati and ross do at least three shows a year in my city. Yayo NEVER been booked CINCINNATI and 50 last show was here when GRODT dropped! LOL If you don’t live in NEW YORK when was the last someone BOOK “ANY” MEMBER of GUNIT in YOUR CITY?! I’m waiting lol

      1. Cincinnati home of suckas says:

lets talk about how officer ricky can’t show his beard in Detroit. shit that nigga cant even sell out a show in Miami unless its a small ass club.

and Yayo and Banks do mad solo shows overseas.

Great interview. If you’re any kind of fan of hiphop you will appreciate the stories & insight Yayo provided. Gunit always been the realist click out IMO. And for that reason their music does not get played much these days, which is sad. I’m looking forward to see what the unit has in store for us fans.

  33. Tiz says:

This was a great podcast! Tbh, I’ve grow out of there sound as the years have gone by.BUT, I do remember the beg for mercy, the massacre, the get rich or die tryin’, and ALL the mixtapes that i used to download as a teen just to hear them freestyle and kill other artists Beats! that era was crazy. Banks has always been my favourite lyracist out of the bunch. They had the game on lock at one point in time. Its good to see them still putting out music as a group. Yayo is right, they’re blessed to still be able to do what they love after all this time!
