These two are it again. After the video of Liza Rios circulated around the Internets yesterday, Crack felt the need to respond to all the shit that’s being tossed his way.
“Immediately after Puns death I gave Liza Rios the whole advance of the Endangered Species album, NO ONE but Liza made a dollar off that album. I also gave her the total advance from the publishing company that was due to Big Pun.
I’ve never made a dollar off Big Pun since his passing. This was hundreds of thousands of dollars of frivolous spending, after the second payoff I washed my hands. Since then we have been through 6 lawyers, harassment on various radio stations and online mediums every time she needs more money. I also have legal documents stating that NO ONE is making money off of Big Pun.
I sympathize with Liza, but I have done already done enough for her. In these economic times we as parents need to be resilient and do what it takes to provide for our own families.”

It’s hard to find rap news on the Internets today since all anyone wants to talk about is Paula Abdul gettin’ the boot last night. Oh pardon me, she has a Twitter account—she quit American Idol! Anyways, I can’t believe this actually really happened, but Arsenio’s ex-boo used to get her hip-hop on with an animated rappin’ cat. That’s right. She was so big at the time, the gimmick even got its own record deal. Hey, don’t say YN doesn’t teach the kids.
Well, I will. In case you ain’t know so, last night on Twitter, Fabolous was a lil’ P.O.’d that the fine folks at Harris Publications gave his new album, Loso’s Way an overall “L” rating. The review is broken into three categories. For its beats and originality, it received the aforementioned grade. For lyrics, he clocked in a notch higher at “XL.” Now I’ve sat with the album, and personally, I think it’s a fair assessment. Like scribe Sean A. Malcolm stated, the album has a “loosely weaved storyline.” Do away with “Imma Do It”, chop the love songs, tighten the sequence and you perhaps you’d have a better CD. But hey what do I know. Afterall, you do have the #1 album in the country. Pop some Nuvo champagne and don’t sweat the technique. Now, as for that movie…
Turn up the bass! According to this heatrock, Kurupt and Daz are gonna put a whole album out with the production stylings of Hi-Tek. I can dig it if it follows a similar path of the first offering. Funny hearing Dillinger gettin’ his mixtape DJ on over the top of the mix. I hope that’s just on this early leak. Either way, throw the dub up like EW!

That blog post perfectly captured the raw intensity of Joell Ortiz’s performance at Guz Sports Bar! His delivery of Battle Cry was absolutely electric, making the whole room feel like it was vibrating with pure, unfiltered energy. It reminded me of those high-stakes moments during a intense word guessing game with friends where the pressure is on and every single syllable counts. Seeing such a lyrical powerhouse perform in such an intimate, gritty setting was a legendary experience. If you weren't there, you truly missed out on some masterful storytelling. I'm still buzzing from that incredible night of hip-hop excellence!
