To celebrate the release of his book, Enter The Mind Of Joe Budden, Mouse performed before a sold out crowd last night at S.O.B.’s. Curtain time was 10 p.m., but by the time I got there, show was over. Please, don’t shoot me down. Luckily, the Internet Soldiers were in the house and filmed most of the performance. Starting today, Nelly will be filling in for radio personality Staci Static on Hot 104.1 in St. Louis. The jock vacated her 3 p.m.-7 p.m. slot while on maternity leave. According to the station, the gig will last for a month. In related news, Nelly’s also working on a fitness DVD. Last night, he posted a couple of flicks of him getting it in the gym.
Kanye was in the studio early this morning with mentor No ID and producer Lex Luger. Apparently the session was so good, that Ye said he wanted to pass the record off to Hot 97’s Angie Martinez today. We’ll see. hhnm
A few days ago, J.Cole’s “Bun B For President” leaked onto the net to much fanfare. The unfinished track was supposed to appear on Bun B’s Trill O.G. but didn’t make the final cut.
