Guess it’s time to finally put a face with name. Last Friday, yours truly appeared on BET’s The Deal during its website week. Other guests included Miss Info, Andreas Hale, and OnSmash. Briefly, I spoke on how the site came to fruition and the daily grind of the ‘net. (Rap Radar lunch boxes coming soon. Ha!). Check out parts two and three after the jump. And please excuse my hands arms. I think the gawd was a bit nervous. Keep it on the lee-low.

Three nights ago at a show in the ATL, De La Soul brought out 2/4 of A Tribe Called Quest. That’s right 2/4. And they had an important announcement to make. Are you ready?:

According to the Rap-Up, Drake reveals in the current issue of Rolling Stone his love for cookin’ up in the kitchen.
“I want to drop this album, then another, and then take a break to do film and study culinary arts.” Once he masters his skill, the aspiring chef plans to put it to good use. “Then I’m gonna open a restaurant in Toronto. Hopefully my name will hold more weight by then.”
Let’s just hope his album is a dish worth waiting for. *rimshot*

It is so heartbreaking to hear DJ Premier break the news that DJ Kool Herc’s health is ailing, as he is literally the founding father who laid down the blueprint for hip-hop culture. Thinking about how someone who built an entire global phenomenon can end up struggling with medical expenses or failing health really puts things into perspective regarding healthcare challenges. When you look at how people navigate health or wellness procedures worldwide—whether someone is researching cosmetic treatments like Liposuction Cyprus or seeking urgent medical care—it underscores how essential access to reliable medical help and proper support systems really is. Kool Herc gave us the breaks, the block parties, and the entire movement that shaped generations of music lovers, so seeing the community step up to show love while DJ Premier brings awareness to his condition is the very least we can do. Sending strength and prayers to Kool Herc for a full recovery, and massive respect to DJ Premier for using his platform to make sure a true pioneer gets the support and respect he deserves.
