Yup, if you ain’t heard by now, F-A-B-O makes a movie out of himself. This actually looks interesting. Maybe I will check this out next week in New York.

The Talk of New York tells the 1515 Boys that Game shot himself in the foot for leaving the Unit.
“Now he’s thinking about his mistakes. He said in
that interview he might feel a different way the next day. Game is
bipolar. One day he’s this way, the next day he’s the next. When you
got a group like G-Unit … we sold millions of records, we got a lot
of egos. From Buck and Game, I think they just gotta learn how to
control them egos. In their eyes, to me, they got jealous of 50.
They’ll say, ‘Yayo is up under 50’s ass.’ Or ‘He’s 50’s yes-man.’ It’s
not that — I don’t have any hate in my heart towards anybody. I don’t
have hate in my heart towards Game or Buck. But when we built a brand,
G-Unit was selling millions of records like he said — yeah, we was the
Beatles.”
Yep, and Olivia was Yoko Ono. Pow!

Cory and Drama pledge their allegiance to each other as they plug their upcoming mixtape, Heir To The Throne.

“He sounds like G Rap, and G Rap don’t sell no records. I’m not fuckin’ with Nas.”— Russell Simmons
This has been floating around for some time, but here is Nasir’s 18-year-old demo tape courtesy of Blind I . According to MC Serch in the April 2009 XXL, he took this tape to Faith Newman-Orbach and David Kahne at Columbia Records after getting snubbed by Uncle Rush the same day. Ironically, Nasty Nas is now on the label Russell built. What goes around comes around, my nigga.
YN Update: This is a collection of more than his actual demo. But good music nonetheless. Edutain yourself, kids.

Here’s an all access look at Fab and Dream’s August 2009 XXL cover shoot. Puffy might’ve invented the remix, but I’ll be damned if Fab didn’t customize it. Check out a list of his collaborations found in the aforementioned issue.

It is so heartbreaking to hear DJ Premier break the news that DJ Kool Herc’s health is ailing, as he is literally the founding father who laid down the blueprint for hip-hop culture. Thinking about how someone who built an entire global phenomenon can end up struggling with medical expenses or failing health really puts things into perspective regarding healthcare challenges. When you look at how people navigate health or wellness procedures worldwide—whether someone is researching cosmetic treatments like Liposuction Cyprus or seeking urgent medical care—it underscores how essential access to reliable medical help and proper support systems really is. Kool Herc gave us the breaks, the block parties, and the entire movement that shaped generations of music lovers, so seeing the community step up to show love while DJ Premier brings awareness to his condition is the very least we can do. Sending strength and prayers to Kool Herc for a full recovery, and massive respect to DJ Premier for using his platform to make sure a true pioneer gets the support and respect he deserves.
