This one goes out to all the brothers who gotta rock suits to their gigs, here’s the soundtrack to your after-work drink. Ha! Seriously, I’m ready for a post-Tameka album from Mr. Raymond. Can’t be any worse than the last one.

That’s What’s Up: Rap-Up

This excerpt does an excellent job of balancing mystery with character development. Sarah’s transformation feels believable and unsettling at the same time, and Nico’s internal struggle adds emotional realism. The fact that she forgets both trivial details and life-altering events shows how completely her past has been erased. I love how the story hints that the truth is still buried beneath the surface, creating a sense that the past will inevitably resurface, no matter how much is forgotten. tvg
