Why the fuck wont they just use the one with him lying on the bed(nhjic) that seemed pretty good and def. not as gimmicky as Relapse’s. I also want that red cross gone. When they starting pulling off these themes like the prescription tags with Relapse and the cross with these covers it just makes me weary since his best works had just a plain pic of him, a set and the album name period.

I agree, this album wont sell well and this is coming from a certified Em stan. This has been the laziest marketing I’ve ever seen for a Major Eminem album. If they put as much effort as they did to promote Relapse now we’d be at a fever pitch especially since the material is superior but for some reason its like their all passed out in the studio playing around with twitter. Recovery is around 28 days away and all they’ve given us is one single and a few covers, what the fuck is this a mixtape? Wake up nyuckas!!

I like the album covers. I’m so psyched for this album now. I’m almost for sure it will be a classic. It’ll probably be his best album production wise since The Eminem Show.

i agree with everyone who is saying that we haven’t gotten enough stuff from recovery and that the promotion is weak…if there is any. drake’s album has about 5 leaked songs, album cover, tracklist, and he has been touring promoting the new album. all we have gotten from recovery is the album cover and one single. the release date for recovery is less than a month away and i would be surprised if the release wasn’t delayed, last year em was on tv a lot promoting relapse on european and american late night shows

(Reminds me more of a alternative rock album cover than a rap album cover. Actually… both of them seem like alternative rock covers to me.) But I would buy the album cover on the right because it seems more appealling to me.

the gift and the curse of eminem is he doesnt really dumb anything down, he goes over alot of peoples heads with concepts that make sense to him but not everybody gets it. he does the same thing with a lot of his raps, especially recently, songs like forever, drop the world, drop the bomb on em, despicable – a lot of people dont understand who he’s talking about, other people do. both of these covers are very metaphorical, conceptual, and meaningful. em is on another level and he doesnt care if your not. we have plenty of wack generic rappers posing next to their maybachs on their cover, be greatful for the artists that think outside the box.

@Cudder brings up a good point..Eminem only had multiple covers for ONE album..The Marshall Mathers LP because the two concepts of lashing out on fame (the cover of him crouched looking scared) and the concept of taking it back to the roots of his past (Him in front of his old house) were sooo powerful they needed two covers. And no, it wasnt JUST because there was a clean and dirty version because he’s had two versions of his albums ALWAYS and only ONE instance of this.
Also, Mr. Porter said that Recovery sounds like The Marshall Mathers LP. Now I’m not anticipating a worldwide takeover how he did from 2000-2001 when this album ruled EVERYTHING but I do think that Recovery is going to shock ALOT of people with how good it is. And by “people” I mean Hip Hop heads.
