’10 Mixtapes: #8 Wale More About Nothing

“Text message from Elliott sayin’ tape is dope.” It’s hard not to be bias on this one. With my encouragement, Wale returned to his mixtape roots after his debut album, Attention Deficit didn’t ignite. Be clear: We shut the Internet down on Aug. 3, 2010 when More About Nothing, the super sequel to 2008′s Mixtape About Nothing dropped. Seinfeld samples still intact and the raps are sharp. Mr. Folarin tackles his adversity on the opening rockers (“The MC” and “The Soup”), hurts Kid Cudi’s feelings on “The Numbers Won” and damn near debuts his Waka collabo (“No Hands”) which would eventually score him his first #1 song. Yup, don’t call it a comeback. Now Wale is being courted by the bosses, most notably, Rick Ross for his Maybach Music Group. Comeback season begins!

Disrespectful views at Tha Kang, T.I.? Nah, Ms. Banks you're out of line. Yeah Harris' Aussie ain't that dope but neither are you. I just saw you at Coachella and I wasn't impressed. You got the look, the swag, the tough talk but where are the tunes? "212" is alright but that's where it stops. According to Jay-Z's old board rules: You have no right to diss Tip. Look in the mirror and ask yourself: How many classic albums have you created? Are you on anyone's top 10 MCs list? Do you have any hardware on your walls, ma? Cliff is right. Keep him out of the girlfight. You're heavy in these tweets, but I hope you're finding time to create music that backs up your buzz. Or you'll soon be begone like Kreayshawn. You young ladies today bore me. *Turns up Mia X CD* No Limit forever!
The best things in life are free, but hopping on Hov's press conference stage uninvited is gon cost cha. Whatcha did was wrong! ⎯B.Dot
Cudi > Wale
This Mixtape was better than his album. Had some good tracks on this.
This nigga YN mann smh.
This should be top 5
@errol,they are not talking about kid cudi so “GET THE FUCK OUT OF HERE”!!! IDIOT
Wale is corny as fuck…that being said I actually agree with his placement on this list. Not a bad tape but DEFINITELY not better then K.R.I.T. Wuz Here
Good 1!!!
“and damn near debuts his Wale collabo (“No Hands””
I think you meant his Waka collabo…
anyways good placement…I wouldn’t say this mixtape is better than mixtape about nothing…it was still decent.
I can’t wait to see where y’all put Mr. Zone 6! If better be on this list!
get the fuck off wale dick..he doin the damn thing!….he aint one of these bubble gum rappers he actually speaks the truth!
Love this mix tape but no way better than big krit every time let somebody hear it they go crazy but like I saud this was a dope mix tape too.
being courted by someone who cosigned gunplay is nothing to be proud of
Should be higher than #8. As long as Friday Night Lights is #1, we’re cool.
im a bigger wale fan than krit fan. that being said, big krits tape was amazing and should be higher up. i respect wale’s placement though.
if the fabulous mixtape dosnt make it to numba 1 im gna kill someone!!
not mad at the number, just glad he’s on the list period……Wale get that Obama / Lebron hate, he need some type of love.
@ fuk waka…..na kush & oj….but fab tape should at least be top 3
wale mad dope, liked the mixtape
@fuk wak
“@fu waka lol” is what i meant
@Anggie AGREED!
It seems like people don’t want hip hop that makes them think anymore…just something to party to. Wale gives both. Love him!
@Errol, I mean I guess Cudi is better if you like people who sold their soul to Kanye and don’t even rap anymore, and if you’re going off just talking a whole bunch on your cd’s then yeah Cudi is better. But if you want real rap that’s damn good, Wale all day.
This tape was definitely a banger. Hnads down…or no hands shall I say. Lol.
shouldnt be hire than big Krit
“WALE WALE WALE”
“Respect is like food, nigga what it do”
Wale’s a beast, GET THIS TO #1!!
“It’s hard not to be biased on this one”
