New Album: Public Enemy ‘What You Gonna Do When The Grid Goes Down?’

It’s a new day.

The countdown until yesterday ends with the arrival of Public Enemy’s fifteenth studio album, What You Gonna Do When The Grid Goes Down?.

For their latest politically-charged project, Chuck D, Flavor Flav, DJ Lord and Khari Wynn sound off on during these trying times with their “State Of The Union (STFU)” and continue their initiative with a revamp of a classic “Fight The Power 2020“. Supporters on the LP include Nas, Rapsody, Black Thought, YG, Jahi, Questlove, Mike D and Ad-Rock from the Beastie Boys, Run-DMC, George Clinton, Cypress Hill, Ice-T, PMD, and many more.

Without flavor flav public enemy wouldn’t be around.Flav only talked over the beat. He wasn’t rhyming or anything. He just kept saying “yo chuck you gotta tell em just like that”. Wouldn’t surprise me if he didn’t even write the one word sentence he repeated over and over again.
