You ain’t the only one, Cee. This afternoon during his Old School At Noon set on Hot 97, Big Daddy Kane’s former DJ spoke on the usage of bands at last night’s Hip Hop Honors ceremony. He says he was also disappointed by the exclusion of any mention of Shakir Stewart.

Those bands made shit wack because if ur rappin over a band, u gotta get LOUDER and that fux up the performance cause no one can understand whatchur saying due to the fact ur outta breath from screamin over a got damn guitar and drum. Once in a while is cool, but not for some shit like last nite….and wus up with them not shoutin out Shakir Stewart??? He brought a lot of the new Def Jam niggaz on in the game like Jeezy and Ross…smh…

I was hella disappointed they didnt mention Shakir, but I didn’t expect much from VH1 putting together anything from hip hop. And they also only had so much time so I knew alot of people who deserved to be on there were gonna get left out.
My biggest issue was no Slick Rick, that’s just wrong on alot of levels

UNDERWHELMING…. i mean….kid rock? word? ja used to have that intense energy(see holla holla music video) but that performance was yawn despite being given this opportunity to forget the 50 cent obliterating his career. officer ross= terrible. trey songz was half assing that warren g shit, nate dogg musta been spinning in his iron lung during that performance. Fab may be the least charismatic in the game cuz he dragged down that foxy performance(lmao black miss piggy) with his robotic stage presence. there was a noticeable absence of some key stars there. a def squad performance woulda been dope with angry keith murray, a nore set, Slick rick of course it seemed like shit was slapped together last minute IMO waste of a momentus occasion. but what do i know im just a fan.
