After revealing plans of reviving Roc-A-Fella Records, Dame tells MTV he would set all beefs aside with co-founder Jay-Z and bring him back on board to the label.
“If Jay wanna come through and do something, he can come holla at me,” Dash said. “I ain’t got no beefs with Jay.” “Just off the strength that it’s Roc-A-Fella, I could never tell Jay he can’t be a part of something he helped create,” the Harlem born CEO said. “So maybe it felt ridiculous that he said [me and Biggs couldn’t be a part of Roc-A-Fella once we sold the company] and a Roc-A-Fella purists didn’t appreciate that. If I walked away from Roc-A-Fella, then that would be different. But the option should always be there. So the option is there for him. He helped build that. And I don’t hold grudges. I’m not sure if this will be a good move or not. Individuals need to keep in mind that, after a falling out, the harsh and hurtful words one person says to another, and have made its way to to the airwaves, interviews, etc, really can’t be taken back. it really shows a persons true feelings and thoughts about another when money is involved and when things are in the heat of the moment.
If this reconciliation does happen, fans, the record label, are going to pressure other branches of reconciliations, e.g., Beans, State Property, or even DipSet. I personally don’t see this happen. Beans, along with the rest of these guys, who have disrespected Hov in a way, with an intent to taint his career, skills, and legacy, was totally wrong. Note: I’m not saying Hov was an innocent bystander, but I will say he’s handle the situation with a lot of maturity then the rest. The chances are slim of Dame and Hov working together again, but, I will leave room to think there’s a possibility.

Just for the record that $150 million from Live Nation was to finance future start-up ventures by Jay, which could include his own label, music publishing, and artist consulting and managing. From my understanding financing is basically loans that have to be paid back with interest. Live Nation was supposed to make advance payments to Jay of $10 million for a minimum of three albums. Numbers don’t lie, Shawn owes. Why pay 5 to owe 10 with a 150 million dollar cloud hanging over your head? Why not build and own instead of destroy and owe? I can’t criticize Jay’s hustle, get it how you live, but I’m sayin’.
