  2. DMVinyourchick says:

Fiyyyyyaaaaaa this nigga reps Maryland very well I’m proud of this fool

  3. AP says:

    dope flow, this is nice

  4. it's the roc says:

that was ill. logic is really capitalizing on his shine.

  5. mayyyyynee says:

Man I wish they would stop calling this shit a freestyle this shits all pre-written. It’s hot don’t get me wrong but this aint no freestyle.

You keep using that word, I don’t think it means what you think it means.

  6. Genesis says:

    ^^^^^^^
So Logic just rapped his mulatto ass off and this guy wants to bring up semantic babble about “freestyle”?……. Only in the comments of a rap blog……

  7. JustMyOpinion says:

^ Nooooooo he’s pointing out a fact. It’s to keep the artform of freestyle authentic. If its pre written say so, otherwise don’t call it a freestyle. You wouldn’t do lay-ups at a dunk contest.

But, on another note, I think son is nice. I hope he lives to the hype.

  8. Realtalk says:

Annoying how RR slept on this guy for so long though, his mixtape buzz was big even before he made xxl

    1. B.Dot says:

@Realtalk What’s your point? People are never satisfied.

  9. Tbones says:

@B.Dot, RealTalk’s point is that perhaps RR never gave this dope Mulatto any shine until he made the XXL freshman cover.

    1. B.Dot says:

      @Tbones Timing is important.

  10. PsychoBoy says:

RR only show love to certain people. They only posting his shit now because his signed to Def Jam. smh

  11. Realtalk says:

@B.Dot XXL did a feature on this guy before he even made freshman issue, his time should’ve been earlier

  12. Realtalk says:

Blogs only jumping on him after he went mainstream, he was dope long before freshman put him in the mainstream

  13. Kamsamnida says:

basic flip flow..then J Cole’s flow. This nigga even got the illest Tim Westwood video shoot for this. Look it aint ill until u originate. SO this freestyle is called the gentrification. Biter.

  14. Kamsamnida says:

Create ya own shit. Em did. this biting shit is getting out of hand

  15. Picasso Micheaux says:

    Much respect to Logic…
    Anyway…
    4/20 is tomorrow…
Blow one and enjoy the innovation…

  16. Donn says:

How can u hate on this kid. Dude is sick!! Bout to go find his mixtape. I’m sold

  17. Jon B says:

    RattPack!!!!!!!!!

  18. NYC says:

y’all like this shit? SMH. Not bad, but I’m not convinced. Sounds like a fake Diggy

  19. Yo bdot says:

    Timing is important.

    Yeah it is

But management teams as project managers also have schedules. Releasing artist material is no different than a press release for any other business that deals with media to sell a product.

Anyone who doesn’t know thy sacred “rap game” is another version of commerce and industry on ALL levels will realize vmg PAID for this plug

They don’t do it for who they like (rr) it’s advertising and yeah timing is right.

    It’s called
    Planning
    Prioritizing
    Marketing

In this case it’s specialty showcase (XXL). Then a single from the mixtape. A freestyle or two and then the b side of the single. Then the mixtape and then of course the first single and video from def jam.

    100k well spent.

    Logic is a G

    -roman “knows heat” forten

  20. Truth Serum says:

Only thing that bugs me about RR is that bdot always complains about radio not breaking in new artists and only focusing on mainstream artists but then flips around and does the same thing here. Even with a situation like logic, u didnt pay attention until def jam signed him

actions speak louder than words bdot

    1. B.Dot says:

@Truth Serum it’s not my job to “break” an artist. I’ve known about logic for a minute. We felt timing wasn’t right. Radio is the more dominate than a blog ever could be.

Speaking of which, talk to me about the artists I have played on radio. shade 45 and hot 97. I’ll wait.

  21. gobo says:

    This kid is dope.

  22. Truth Serum says:

    @bdot

What does “timing wasn’t right” even mean? Are you aware of everything this kid did before the def jam announcement? His achievements rivaled major artists but at an independent level….so what does “timing wasn’t right” mean?

oh wait i think i know……he didnt have a major deal yet, that makes sense.

  23. Jake says:

This kid is fucking dope. I’m a fan.

  24. Kamsamnida says:

The fucking twilight zone lmao…I remember when dope shit came out the jects or the block this shit is COPY CAT UNORIGINAL FUCK it…….thats why u bitches complain about gettin bullied or think ur on that real when ur frogfoot…I can smell pussy…this is pussy. But yo…eat it. Cuz u pussy too Bwahaa! Have fun fucking hip hop up u far from the real google glasses wearing bitches

  25. Hiphopfan says:

    This is ill

  26. Respect says:

    He killed that shit

  27. Realtalk says:

Timing was right? Don’t pretend you heard Logic’s tapes before Freshman, be a man and admit you slept on this one b.dot

  28. the brain trust says:

Fuck is wrong with this @Kamsamnida character?

Sounds like a jealous ex girlfriend

  29. Nathaniel says:

this corny ass shit? i say corny because there’s nothing unique about the way son spits, or his wordplay. this is what you get when niggas think just because they say a bunch of nothing with a more difficult rhyme structure/delivery, that that qualifies them for “speaking the truth to the masses” and all that other cliche shit these goof troop ass rappers say.

    s/o to kamsamnida.

  30. Thatguy 5 says:

RR don’t break artist, they give u the breaking artist!! I don’t come to RR to hear about every new nigga wit a mixtape, you can go 2 Nah Right with that! If you only check one rap blog, u WACK anyway! i come to RR to see all the hot cats without all that upcoming rapper filler. If i wanna check up an coming cats i go to eskay an Nah Right. It’s simple fuckers! It’s not u, it’s how u fucking think

  31. SayItAin'tSo says:

    Definitely dope!

  32. Honesty says:

I must be the only person who doesn’t think this dude is crazy outstounding .

I think Logic is Okay , but seeing how many syllables you can fit into a line doesn’t make a rapper amazing – “li-min-in-min-in-min-in” .. kind’ve cliché flow, He sounds like a mixture of MGK and Diggy simmons – no diss – in that sense . How ever, after 1:40 he sounded more comfortable , and better (compared to the opening lines) . But no diversity .

The Accapella at the end was dope though !

im interested to see what he does in the future, defiantly not someone to sleep on . Happy for dude getting signed to DefJam though ! big looks

  33. TJ says:

Yo a freestyle doesn’t just mean a rap off the top of the dome, it also means a rap without a chorus. Just verse the whole way.
