Hip Hop is morning another loss. On Sunday morning (December 8), Juice WRLD unexpectedly passed away from a cardiac arrest in his hometown of Chicago. He just turned 21 on December 2.

According to reports, Juice had just landed from a flight from Los Angeles at the Chicago Midway International Airport where he suffered a seizure at the airport’s private hangar. He was conscious when paramedics arrived, but died a short time later at a nearby hospital.

During the investigation, the FBI confiscated 70 lbs of marijuana, a bottle of codeine cough syrup, three handguns on board his private jet after the pilot alerted authorities. Law enforcement reports Juice allegedly swallowed percocet pills in an attempt to hide them, which may have lead to a fatal overdose as the cause of death. Two of the rapper’s associates were arrested for the weapons.

Juice, who signed to Interscope last year, climbed to success after the release of his debut album, Goodbye & Good Riddance. The LP spawned the multi-platinum hit single, “Lucid Dreams“. Most recently, Juice WRLD’s sophomore album A Deathrace For Love, debuted at no. 1 on the Billboard 200 charts. Rest peacefully, Juice.
