Drake & 21 Savage ‘Her Loss’ Tops Charts

Drake and 21 Savage secure a victory with Her Loss debuting at the top of the Billboard charts.

In its first week, the collaborative album launched 404,000 equivalent album units with 12,000 of the sum in traditional album sales. 391,000 of its SEA units equated to 513.56 million on-demand streams of its 16 tracks.

Billboard also notes that Her Loss is this year’s biggest week for an R&B/hip-hop set and the fourth-largest streaming week ever for any album.

Her Loss earns Drake his twelfth overall No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 charts and his second of the year, previously by Honestly, Nevermind album from June. They join the list of Certified Lover Boy (2021), Care Package (2019), Scorpion (2018), More Life (2017), Views (2016), If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late (2015), What A Time To Be Alive with Future (2015), Nothing Was The Same (2013), Take Care (2011), and Thank Me Later (2010). Her Loss is also Drizzy’s 15th Top 10 album.

Drake now has the third-most No. 1 albums on the Billboard 200 chart. Ahead of him are only The Beatles, with a record 19 No. 1s and Jay-Z with 14.

Meanwhile, 21 Savage has now tallied his third chart-topping album and his fifth Top 10 album. His previous No. 1 albums include I Am > I Was in 2018 and collaborative albums with Metro Boomin Not All Heroes Wear Capes (2018) and Savage Mode 2 (2020).

In addition, Billboard also reports eight songs from the album make their debuts in the top 10 of the Billboard 100 charts. Drake lends eight including seven with 21 Savage.

Drake tallies his 27th Global 200 top 10s, the most of any act, while 21 Savage up his to 12 top 10s. Travis Scott, the album’s only guest, also earned his fourth top 10 for his feature on “Pussy & Millions”.

After a creative roll out and promotional run, Her Loss was released on November 4 following a push-back due to producer Noah “40” Shebib catching Covid. The album includes the tracks “Major Distribution”, “Hours Of Silence”, Circo Loco”, “Middle Of The Ocean”, “3AM On Glenwood”, and more with production by Noah “40” Shebib, Boi-1da, Tay Keith, Metro Boomin, Lil Yachty, Wheezy, and more.
