I keep on saying Drake season and yall niggas dont believe me, 2013 drake has the juice. and he hasnt even dropped trophies yet

    1. Selorm Amuzu says:

It was till Control verse, Drake couldn’t even have room to breath when his album came out lol

  2. areal1 says:

I think it should have went to kendrick but I have no problem with it going to drake but that jayz dick lickin has to stop how could you say he could win mvp every year what is that based on hype and newspaper clippings cuz everything after black album has been subpar except ag

  3. Da Business says:

So Pusha can’t get no love?!?!

    1. haann says:

Pusha put out a good album, but to say he was the MVP of the year is a little ridiclous lmao. no singles no tour no records on radio none in the club no nominations

      1. Da Business says:

I wasn’t talking about Pusha being MVP, I met as far as him not getting any love through out this “series”.

  4. Da Business says:

    K. Dot is MVP in my book.

    1. haann says:

How can yo have kendrick as mvp with no album out ? he went throughout the year off feature verses. no new songs come on man

      1. Chronic says:

Because numbers don’t have everything to do with it

        1. haann says:

When were numbers mentioned lol ?

          1. Chronic says:

Did you watch the video my man?

      2. Dashing28 says:

That’s the whole point. He didn’t even put an album out, had not big marketing $ spent on a rollout, and he STILL was the most talked about rapper this year!

        1. haann says:

being the most talked about gets you shit. Lil terrio the most talked about nigga on the internet is he the king of shit ? bull shit lol

          1. Dashing28 says:

            Most talked about.
            Most feared rapper.
            Best lyricist.
            Platinum Plaque.
Rap Album of the Year nomination
            Album of Year Grammy nomination.

but yeah that “Hold on We’re Going Home” got my 9 year old niece going crazy though…

          2. haann says:

if your gonna try and bring up accolades you know drake will crush kendrick right ? and of course the only thing you can bring up is the only singing snigle drake dropped all year..ignnore everything else he put out except that

          3. Dashing28 says:

it’s his biggest song of the year. You’re a Drake fan. Defend it. He was repping it hard on Ellen…

          4. haann says:

Started from the bottom is double platinum and hold on were going home is only platinum.. get your facts straight about shit before you say it

          5. Dashing28 says:

It went to #1 on the charts and “Started from the Bottom” never did. That’s what I was referring to, not sales.
Get your facts straight before you criticize.

      3. Da Business says:

It’s quick simple my G. GKMC dropped late last yr, and the wave of that joint carried K.Dot thru the 1st two qtr of the yr. Plus he stayed relevant by staying on his grind w/ features, award show, press, etc. Not to mention that he dropped the VERSE OF THE YR!!!

        I mean if that’s not MVP status, I don’t know what is…

    2. NativeKing says:

based off what? control verse & the verse on Q’s collard greens lol?…

      1. Da Business says:

        Just scroll up.

  5. Selorm Amuzu says:

Ok I guess this is were I go against Drake on this one ! Kendrick was still the shit cos of GKMC then Control verse came then he rearranged the platform even though irrelevant rappers did come out of the woodwork in the process… he even put the birthplace of Hip-Hop into question aswell…. Drake cosigned Migos with a cover

    1. haann says:

GKMC didnt come out in 2013 and you cant give a man MVP based off of one verse.

      1. Selorm Amuzu says:

`GKMC came out at the 4th quarter of 2012 which spills right down to 2013 so ppl was still praising it this year and that one verse changed the landscape of hip-hop at the time ( even though there was hype moments) Drake couldn’t even have his moment on NWTS cos of Control verse cos he was pressured from all sides seeing that he was the only one actually qualified to get at Kendrick

        1. haann says:

the control verse meant way too much to you my dude lmao it didnt change anything. it was a hot verse for a few weeks thats it

          1. Chronic says:

yea that’s why cole just addressed it and drake has made 2 songs with subliminals towards it

          2. Selorm Amuzu says:

try tell me that niggas decided to be interested in listening to lyrics before control, ppl decided to step their game up cos someone claimed he was the best at this, a city was to shame before control, irrelevant and unimportant NY rappers decided to pop up before control even rappers felt a certain way because they felt unimportant because someone didn’t call them out before control…………. don’t worry i’ll wait lool

          3. haann says:

The control verse only sparked replies from a bunch of C and D list rappers, no one really winning responded. And what does making NY rappers feel a type of way have to do with being MVP ? no one cares what manio and papoose felt about control thats irrelevant

          4. Chronic says:

it wasn’t the response that mattered…it was the fatc Kendrick was calling dude out on the bullshit music they were putting out

          5. Selorm Amuzu says:

A topic which caught everyone’s attention from various forms of media for 1 quarter

          6. Selorm Amuzu says:

If anything all Drake did this year apart NWTS and Started from the Bottom was catch slander all the way from every direction… Kendrick clearly won this year !

          7. haann says:

slander from a bunch of internet nerds who dont have lives or jobs. in the real world when you really go out drakes the only thing playing in the clubs on the radio in peoples cars.this shit is much more then just some internet rap nerd shit.

          8. Selorm Amuzu says:

he got slandered in and out of the internet in every website and real life situaiton possible not even nerds where getting at him…and you mean to tell me that swimming pools, don’t kill my vibe , poetic justice ( ironically) wasn’t in the clubs, venues and ppl’s cars really

          9. haann says:

i mean to tell you started from the bottom, hold on were going home, worst behaviour, versace etc were what dominated radio played in clubs had girls dancing had people riding out to in there cars more then anything else this year.

          10. haann says:

swimming pools was drakes song he gave to kendrick and poetic was hot cause drake was on it. my point is kendrick may be king of the internet rap nerd world. but in real life drake is dominating by far thats why vibe crowned him king today and now this ad many more to come im sure

          11. Selorm Amuzu says:

How can Kendrick be the king of the “internet nerd rap” world when he’s as mainstream as drake now lool, he’s also on mainstream rotation lol

          12. haann says:

my dude drake has the most number one rap singles in history, dont try and compare kendrick being mainstrean to the level that drakes been able to reach in the last 4 years

          13. Selorm Amuzu says:

Drake is the bigger artist in a wider spectrum all day everyday but in this discussion, in the “MVP of 2013”, it goes to Kendrick simply because of the momentum of both GKMC and Control simple as !

  6. NativeKing says:

C Tha God hasn’t made any since in any of these videos…

    1. Chronic says:

Wtf you been listening to…he the only one making sense

        1. marty bookbinder says:

yeah i think he is just trolling, the ridiculousness of this entire list thing with the cliche cligars and whiskey…but then again id be giving him too much credit as an intelligent person by saying that.

  7. Chronic says:

I’m sorry…Versace was verse of the year? These guys are fuckin crazy. And drake only sells so much cause he makes R&B and he has fans that would normally never listen to another rapper, aka females and white people who’d be put off by a lot of the realness kendrick spits

    1. NativeKing says:

that’s your opinion, but not factual.

      1. Chronic says:

Kendrick and jay electronicas control verses killed drakes Versace verse, the rap god verse killed it, big sean on drakes own song killed it, like even drake had better verses on his album than Versace.

I like drake actually…for what he is…I don’t think he can touch kendrick lyrically or rapping-wise. And that’s what rappers are supposed to do, rap, not make songs singing about goin home

    2. marty bookbinder says:

uhhhhhhhh white people are the majority mainstream hip hop listeners these days…honestly more white kids probably don’t buy him album because its rnb

      1. NativeKing says:

Thank you. People still don’t understand that whitess are the main consumers of urban music…

      2. Chronic says:

see youre avoiding the fact that more than half of drakes sales are females who only buy it for the rnb stuff though

        1. haann says:

NWTS had 3-4 out of 16 “rnb” songs on it so again you have no idea what your talking about

          1. Chronic says:

            1. furthest thing 2.(first half of) wu-tang forever 3. own it 4. from time 5. hold on 6. connect 7. 305 8. come thru
            it was half the album

          2. haann says:

he doesnt sing in from time dumbass thats jhene aiko, wu tang forever he sang the hook doesnt count as a singing song. furthest thing was also half rap. get shit right man. because drake can sing hooks himself and doesnt have to get an rnb artist to doesnt mean he shit is half singing albums. but when jcole gets miguel to do power trip its still hip hop

          3. Chronic says:

ill give you I was wrong about him singing on it..doesnt change the fact all those songs have a rnb feel to the beat and he raps shit that pretty much only females wanna hear

          4. haann says:

            thats completely opinionated

          5. Chronic says:

ok fine, women and guys that like dicks

        2. NativeKing says:

          females like music too bro…

          1. Chronic says:

yea, but while most white girls wanna hear drake serenade them they don’t wanna hear Kendrick rapping about his experiences growing up, put artfully into a story when its mostly concepts only young guys will relate to

    3. haann says:

you literally have no idea what your talking about

  8. NativeKing says:

“Drake only sells so much because…” shut up, deal with it….

  9. NativeKing says:

Can’t believe the control verse is still carrying any weight at all…It was cool for a week or two but I don’t think it “shifted” a damn thing…

    1. Chronic says:

yea that’s why cole and drake just dropped verses about it

      1. NativeKing says:

dropped verses? or sublimilimaly dropped 1 or 2 bars? Neither one felt offended or pressured enough to retaliate, and all of this came months later…

        1. Selorm Amuzu says:

out of pressure tho, fucking erykah badu got at Drake lool

          1. heruthagod says:

Some months ago erykah badu said that drake had no choice but to respond to Kendrick because this is hip hop & you gotta show niggas you’re serious on the mic.

          2. NativeKing says:

oh okay, wasn’t sure of the other guys angle…

        2. Chronic says:

showing just how relevant it still is…half of coles verse is about control, he even name drops the song…the language’s first verse is directed straight at Kendrick…and half of the shit verse is about Kendrick and control

          1. NativeKing says:

…and in the end, no hostility, no real beef, no threats…c’mon the dudes the size of a 5th grader….just subliminals…something Drake has been doing since his 1st mixtape…

        3. Jesus Ernesto Alejos says:

all kendrick did was drop names and everyones like WOOOOWW verse of da century. fuck outta ere

    2. Da Business says:

U tell when was the last time a verse shock up the industry? I’ll wait…

      1. NativeKing says:

shook up the industry or shook new york?…i’ll wait….is getting a response from papoose and Los what it takes to “shake” the industry lol….i’ll wait

        1. heruthagod says:

he definitely had more than just NY rappers talking about control, dude had LEGENDS talking about that verse. I mean dudes like 9th wonder & guru literally had debates over that erse. No one ever sat & had debates over a drake verse. Just about every rapper in the game was asked about that song for months, whether they were mentioned or not. Drake was being asked more about control than his own album in some interviews. A drake verse never ever had people go crazy like that. I mean even phil jackson had to comment on it my g c’mon now im not saying its the greatest verse ever & will completely change hip hop but you’re trying to downplay the effect that verse had

  10. Lives says:

This is great! Competition! Hip Hop needs this!

  11. haann says:

Drake winning has all these kendrick fans wrapped up in there emotions, lol how ironic

    1. NativeKing says:

      they’re hating this…

    2. Chronic says:

says the dude that got butt hurt when I brought up drake only sells so much cause of his rnb/pop bullshit

  12. Hussle says:

so basically yall talkin bout POPULARITY???? cuz niggas were talkin about sellin out the Barckleys center and shit. Who fuckin cares??? Kdot’s Control verse was a MOMENT IN TIME like Charlemagne said. so if we talkin about sales and popularity fine give it to drake, but if we talkin about the CULTURE, Kdot is MVP!

    1. haann says:

as said before, you cant win mvp for the whole year off of one verse. where are you people logic lmao ? is everyone on drugs ?

      1. Da Business says:

I think that u’re trolling us my G. U can’t really believe what u’re saying, if u’re a hip hop head. I fux w/ Drake heavy, but K.Dot had the bigger yr.

    2. NativeKing says:

The control verse doesn’t mean much anymore…

      1. Chronic says:

yea that’s why cole just addressed it and drake has made 2 songs with subliminals towards it

        1. NativeKing says:

and that really means something in the grand scheme? he called out all of his friends for gods sake….

          1. Chronic says:

his name is still getting that buzz off it is the point…and still no one has been able to drp anything close to as dope as that control verse, and especially not as dope as the bet cypher verse was

  13. Dashing28 says:

For once I agree with Charlemagne…

These guys are just off point. Somewhere along the conversation, it changed from who was the MVP of 2013 to who is the bigger artist? Clearly Drake is a bigger artist than Kendrick. Kendrick has 1 album out. Drake has 3. So of course Kendrick will open for Kanye and is not selling arenas yet, but that shouldn’t be the criteria for MVP.

People who tout Drake’s ability to sell out arenas and have big record sales are ignoring that he has a core base of fans that will always come out. He’s been a massive star since 2010. He also makes records that play on non rap/urban radio. So it’s simply not fair to judge him on those metrics alone because those are givens. On top of that Drake released an album this year, had a big marketing push for it, had OVO fest and all of those things….

Despite all of that. DESPITE that, Kendrick was STILL the most talked about rapper, had a verse that changed rap. It made every single rapper in the game go listen to it and seriously contemplate writing a response to it. The ones who didn’t tightened up their bars and probably made better records and better albums because of it.

Impact. AND sales. That’s what the criteria should be.

And let’s not forget that Kendrick got nominated for album of the year, not just rap album of the year. Album of the year. And let’s not forgot that he has a platinum album so it’s not like he’s not selling records.

Why is Vibe still asking Drake about Kendrick and not about NWTS? NWTS came out in September and “Control” came out over the summer. Because it had a bigger impact on the culture.

“It’s funny how one verse can fuck up the game.”

    1. haann says:

lmao so because kendrick had a hot feature and got nominated hes MVP…… NIGGA,..HE..AINT..WON…SHIT

      1. Dashing28 says:

A hot feature is Nicki Minaj on Monster.

“Control” shut down the rap game, Twitter, and the shit been following Drake every interview he goes on. There has been not 1 verse in the last 10 years AT LEAST that has been singlehandedly as impactful as that verse.

        Name one…. I’ll wait.

NWTS was cool but you’re fooling yourself if you think that makes him MVP. It wasn’t even the best rap album of the year.

        1. haann says:

last 10 years ? when has twitter been a reliable source for hip hop knowlegde.. shit man drake winning has all you kendrick stans in your feelings, how ironic right ?

          1. Chronic says:

            you already said that…troll

          2. Dashing28 says:

Well Drake’s the one getting tight every time they mention Kendrick so I don’t know about that.

          3. blackbeltbreeze says:

D28 what u saying is mathematics to me homie. always good to read an on point comment. this is off topic but another thing i respect about that kendrick verse and everything tde is doing, is that it’s just 5% of what they are capable of doing.. they played chess with that verse; it was a game check. 2014 is going to be crazy. watching beyonce, hov, and kanye do what they did this year gives me that excitement for what might happen when one day we wake up and detox, jay electronica, black hippy, or outkast shit is world premiering at imax theaters in 3D or getting released exclusively on google glasses or beats audio tech or just some sick out there idea that we wouldn’t have even thought hip hop would be given room to do back in the 90s. these dudes waiting on the technology to catch up with their vision. and it’s good to see a yungn put all that type of energy into a verse like he did. they are gonna have to invent some shit to really give us what ab-soul trying to say. these dudes are from the future bruh.

    2. Jesus Ernesto Alejos says:

control didnt change rap bro…relax. no one even talks aBOUT IT ANYMORE

      1. Dashing28 says:

You think Eminem would have made Rap God and then released it as a single if Control hadn’t shook up the rap game? The best MCs didn’t respond to Control by going back at Kendrick. They stepped their bars up and started spitting.

    3. clos1881 says:

well said in that case they should have just made jayz mvp

    4. Da Business says:

      What u said…

    5. brandon says:

D28, Correction.. Kendrick had put out two great studio albums, and drake put out a good 3 with a mixtape that made a lot of noise, but i totally agree with 100% of what you said, the topic of the video wasn’t even about the 2013 MVP… and charlamagne was right about saying it isn’t fair to put Jay-Z up against them… and this is about who is the 2013 “HIP HOP” MVP, when they talk about record sales it should be about what sales are actually meant for Pure hip-hop, rap, lyrics, and influence on the culture…. Drake is GOOD artist in making music, but this is hip-hop, he raps and sings, but we can’t tell what sales are going to which art form or even both, cause you have a lot of fans like charlamagne who appreciate is raps, but not the singing

      1. brandon says:

and when it comes to popularity since their initial starts, Drake blew up with YMCMB with wayne who was the big artist at the time, and some may say Dre put out Kendrick, dre only worked on one song on that album and K-Dot been rollin with his independent label for years, this is his moment, good kid mAAd city is a masterpiece even though it was put out last year

    6. Megamind says:

I enjoy reading the comments on this blog….it’s good to see some informed young brothers out there COMMENTING and being champions for the culture.

I’ll keep this short winded…I am a fan of both Kendrick AND Drizzy…they can both co-exist they are both very good at what they do. However as a fan of LYRICS…not antics, sales, hype, etc….Bar for Bar….Drake is second fiddle to Kendrick and it’s really not even close. As I said, I turn up to “Worst Behavior”, “The Language”, etc….but I don’t think Drake has EVER released a SONG/TRACK, etc better than Kendrick’s “Sing About Me…or Black Boy Fly” NOTHING Drake has release has been as real or poignant as those records.

NOTHING!!! Listen to that shit intently…That’s like Hov’s “Regrets”, Pac’s “So Many Tears”…Drake never gave me that feeling…and that’s not to take away from him as an artist…it’s just that his complexity mainly revolve around relationships with women (which is ALL good)…but life is realer/deeper than that…I’m in my late 30s and i listen to EVERYTHING, so I’m open to any suggestions of someone to point me in the direction of something earnest Drake has written that didn’t revolve around a chick…i’m open to hearing (and I like “Too Much” off NWTS…but that’s not fin with Kendrick’s “Sing About Me or Black Boy Fly”

Now on to my REAL issue…but my previous comments weren’t a knock to Drake…just a lyrical preference statement (Kendrick is the better MC/Rapper…Drake sells more….win-win…History is ALWAYS written by the victor…so we shall see who stands the test of time). Now to my beef!
Wale is a hot head but he said something that has bugged me for a LONG time…white ppl romanticize about the fringe/grimey elements of our culture and champion the most IGNORANT elements of it. WHO THE FK IS JOE LA PUMA? WHAT’S YOUR STATUS IN THE GAME…IDGAF THAT HE’S A WRITER AT COMPLEX! HE CAN’T TELL ME SHIT ABT MY CULTURE. Him bringing up the Drake’s Migos verse as verse of the year?? HUH? WHAT?…I can name 3 verses that have been better…Sean’s on “All Me”, Drake’s verse on “Fkn Problems”, Kendrick’s verse on “Nosetalgia”…that Migos verse was good…but that was club/radio fodder…nothing special…Shit Hov’s verse on “SomewhereInAmerica” is better AND FACTUAL (as usual!)

All in all…Kendrick is getting both the sales AND acclaim…Y’all do realize only like 4-5 Rap albums have been nominated for ALBUM of the year…
Kast and Lauryn Hill are the only winners! Drake’s never got that nod. And most would agree that Nas should’ve won Rap Grammy LAST year.

      peace

      Megamind!

      1. Dashing28 says:

        co-sign 1000%.

        1. Megamind says:

That’s bc you get it my dude! They can co-exist and we KNOW that Drake is bigger right now…But as MC he can’t get with Kendrick. The irony is and Drake’s core fan’s prob won’t agree but it’s the truth…he’s going to be a victim of his own circumstance. And what I mean by that is…the radio songs he makes are somewhat disposable…so when someone else comes along who makes hot singing/rap song…they’ll jump to that wave…ie Ja Rule, 50, Drake…i’m not comparing them lyrically (Drake wins!)…i’m just saying he needs to add balance to his repertoire or he will fall victim to his own success…And he can’t take Hov’s route bc Jay is respected by the streets and he knows how to make a club record. Drake’s street respect is fleeting at best…Hoods like to hear it in the clubs…but that’s about it.

Kendrick has that balance without forcing it. I saw a comment someone said Drake GAVE Kendrick “Swimming Pools” LOLOL…I can only assume he meant the track bc i KNOW he didn’t pen the bars…the track was produced by the Toronto cat who did Drake stuff but what does that mean?? LOL…

The poor Negro…so easily duped and believes everything the devil whispers in his ear LOL…

          1. PT says:

Charlemagne made the point .. “we don’t know if Drake is Ja Rule yet” Jay was around during that time, he rode that wave, the 50 wave, the Wayne wave, and still is here, Kendrick is that same dude, alot gonna come and go, and Kendrick will be here 15 years from now. Drake better be careful, if Chance the Rapper has a falsetto, Drake fan base will be segmented quick.

      2. Da Business says:

I rock w/ everything u said. My only thing is that I felt that “Take Care” earned that Grammy win. And This is coming from a HUGE Nas fan.

        1. Megamind says:

Take Care was TOO emo for the Rap Grammy…and the body of work wasn’t better than Life Is Good. but that is my opinion…I can’t rock with no “take care” or “marvin’s room” and shit lol….its TOO much of a 808 & Heartbreak derivative…if want to hear that sound and style…i’ll just listen to that record….i actually like NWTS more than Take Care…but i’m honest, it took me a minute to rock with Drake LOL…but i respect him and i’m a fan of his now.

its almost not fair to compare them they have their own distinct audiences. kendricks publicity is getting higher so he’s starting to dip into the rap mainstream audiences (but his bars won’t change they still real and he’s getting better every time he drops) but drake has more experience turning out those radio hits and grabbing the mainstream fanbase(hence the grammy), a lot of which aren’t even rap fans, and in turn selling out more. and with hiphop there seems to be a bad vibe about being mainstream, which isn’t something he should be hated on for cus thats how feeds the fam and i have no hate for him for how he succeeds. but cats like kendrick tend to last because of their deeper connection with a smaller but much more loyal fan base that will ride out with whatever he drops, as opposed to drakes fans of which most of them will probably move on to the next mainstream artist after he gets old.

        1. Megamind says:

I agree with most of what you said my G! But at the end of the day, it is about the connection and sometimes you can’t compare things and sometimes you can. These two young titans can definitely co-exist…and they are uniquely individual…but for the sake of MY opinion and probably most in this thread if they are 100% honest…Kendrick is a better wordsmith…lyricist, etc.

To your point there is a reason why artists like Kendrick and Nas, Scarface, Bun B, Jada, Outkast have those connections to their fan base and have their longevity its because their art resonate on more than a primary level.
Nas never sold more than Jay but be clear as ARTISTS they are equal, with MAYBE a slight edge to Nas…maybe bc Hov is Hov LOL…i’m not talking about business bc we know Jay is a beast…

Both these young gunners are still writing their stories…the future is bright with KDot, Drizzy, Cole, Sean, Chance, Tyler even Wale…they all serve their purpose
Now we need a DOPE young duo…ala Kast, Dogg Pound, EPMD, Run DMC!

    I WATCHED THE VIDEO
I’LL BE COMMENTING ON THIS WHEN I GET BACK – ETHER!

  23. Capuccino says:

Let me start by pointing out that i fux with both kendrick and drake and have so much respect for how hard these cats go. in my opinion their both future HOF and they both influence the game with everything they put out. their great for the rap game and everything it represents and i kno the fans will ride out with them for as long as their willing to pick up a mic.
That being said i have an issue with how the verses were being compared. if u compare lyrical content flow and predictability and influence of those verses alone, i dont see how kendrick DOESNT win hands down (once again not d-riding). first off it takes a little cockiness to compare yourself to the pope machiavelli and the king of new york within the first 8 bars of the verse. and we all know how great for the game his calling out of all of his perceived competition, including my homie J Cole, the other future HOF. this shits been missed cus for too long cats have been content spitting half-ass verses on trap beats and i know here in NY we miss it being nas vs jay and pac vs big thats the kinda shit that motivates rappers. we r starting to notice that all the real cats that never stop grinding and are in it for the music not for the paycheck go the hardest and last in an era where we are indulged with so much access to rappers and struggle to find the crystals in the bud. kendrick is just lettin em all know that they better keep grinding and not slow up cus he’s nipping at their heels. it sets us up for a bright future in hip hop cus the fact that so many of them felt like they had to respond and reaffirm that they can go hard its only gonna bring the best out of everyone. like he sais “What is competition? Im tryna raise the bar high, who tryna jump and get it?” #realhiphop (lol iv never hashtaged b4 don’t hate on me)
And I’m not trying to throw shade on Drake, we all know he deserves all of the success that he has had. but how does the versace verse even compare? the flow is boring and the same the whole verse, the beat is wack (just my opinion tho), and the lyrical content doesn’t even exist. that verse on paper looks like a future jeezy verse (once again not hating), extremely safe and is the exact kinda content quality that i thought we were trying to get away from. and bwt i can guarantee that ‘looking great on a 100-inch tv’ ‘gavin a piano mover named Fernando’ and “tryna give Halle Berry a baby” aint got J looking over his shoulder.

people are getting way to bent out of shape over this.. some year ends posts lean towards Kendrick and others toward drake .. This is not a bad thing its great. My personal opinion is that it kept shifting.. first few months of 2013 it was Kendrick with all the success of GKMC then come Grammy time/Started from the bottom it was back to Drake for a few months… Then the summer belonged to Kendrick which brings us the last part of the year which went back to Drake with the success of his tour and NWTS… What is the problem here? If you guys are going to get so bent out of shape this year just wait till the next year and year after that..
Drake Kendrick debate will not end with the end of 2013.
Although, overall I personally think Drake took this year by just a tiny bit…
“control” and GKMC < Grammy, twitter memes (even though they poke fun it's all love in a twisted way), bunch of features and unreleased songs , NTWS, WYLAT
Again all of this is up to personal opinion… This video of them discussing is their own personal opinions no need to take things personally.
GKMC better album then NWTS but not by a long shot. Kendrick will win that grammy this year.
